Marshall Islands. President Kessai Note overcame a vote of no confidence in Parliament in January with votes 19-14.

In July and December, the United States conducted test shoots with intercontinental robots from the Kwajaleinatoll that the United States leases from the Marshall Islands. The robot was aimed at a fingered warhead sent away from California.
